Possibly one of the best days of fast food history (if you wanna call it that) for me was finding out that they never took the Spicy Asiago Ranch Chicken Club off the Wendy's menu. I think it first debuted in 2011 (but I'm not entirely sure anymore), but after the first commercial I saw, I knew I wanted to try it- the runner up being their spicy chicken sandwich, and this just seemed like a newer, tripped out version of that. I tried a couple of them and then took my usual break from fast food, which lasted about a couple months. The sandwich left the menu for a while and so I went back to my regular spicy chicken sandwich-- but then by some miracle it returned again a few months later!

Needless to say, I was delighted this menu item became an official keeper. The chicken is spicy and crisp and always served super fresh and hot (the locations I've been anyway). Tender chicken, crispy bacon, lettuce and tomato, a delicious ranch sauce, and the kicker? That awesome, nutty slice of asiago cheese! I haven't had another fast food sandwich that is quite like this one, simple as it may be- its always a 'go-to' for me.
